Stitched, not printed
Conductive threads are stitched into the textile itself, not glued, taped, or printed on top. The composite textile is the sensor.
Our Technology
ASC builds presence detection out of textiles, not optics. Conductive components stitched into flexible fabric, processed on-device by an ESP32, and delivered through Home Assistant or our cloud-backed app, whichever fits your deployment.

What makes it different
ASC sensors are textile base, flexible, and built for years of use. Everything in the stack is in service of this goal.
Conductive threads are stitched into the textile itself, not glued, taped, or printed on top. The composite textile is the sensor.
Designed to drape, fold, and flex through years of real-world use. With, or without, a stitch integrated PCB, no cracking traces.
An ESP32-based controller turns raw pressure signals into clean presence events on-device, you control how much raw data leaves the room.
No cameras. No microphones. The sensor only knows pressure changes, never identity, image, or sound.
The stack
Each layer is designed by ASC, so the whole system stays simple, fast, and private.
Conductive threads stitched in unique patterns to form a low-impedance pressure grid. The stitch geometry defines the sensing zones and how they flow into each other.
An ESP32 module samples the textile matrix at high frequency, filters mechanical noise, and converts changes into presence, weight-shift, and dwell events.
Wi-Fi, BLE, hard-wired USB-C today. Thread, Zigbee, Z-wave, other stand hard-wired connections in the future.
Home Assistant for fully local control, or the ASC mobile app for cloud-backed alerts, history, and family sharing.
Deployment
The hardware is the same. The difference is where events live.
Run the entire stack on your own LAN. Events stay in your home, on your hardware. No ASC account required.
For remote notifications, multi-device sync, and family sharing, the ASC app pairs the sensor to our secure cloud relay.
A Home Assistant deployment can run with zero internet. The ASC mobile app requires our cloud relay for remote access and push notifications, that's a deliberate choice, not a fallback.
A camera knows who you are. A microphone knows what you said. Our textile only knows that something is there, and that is the whole point.

Made in Woodinville, WA
Keeping textiles-in, sensor-out under one roof lets us iterate fast, verify every batch, and stand behind every unit we ship.
U.S. assembly
Final assembly and QA in Washington.
From thread to box
We select and validate the right combination of resistive material, internal layers, and conductive thread for every project.
Textiles are stitch, edge-bonded, and married to the ESP32 controller in our Woodinville workshop.
Every unit is load-tested, calibrated, and firmware-flashed before being boxed for shipment.
